Circles of the East
I started out making the 14" appliqued blocks you see here. Originally, I was going to make 9. Independently, I started appliqueing (yes, these are all hand appliqued) these circles. I love circles! After doing these 24, I had enough. So, what to do with all these circles? I decided to combine them with the three blocks and voila! I foundation pieced the border blocks. Ran out of one of the fabrics, but fortunately, my girlfriend had more.
There's no binding on the quilt you see here. My husband is holding it so it's a bit tilted. I sold the quilt before I got a chance to take a picture of the finished quilt. The woman who bought it sent me a picture of it, but it's a bad photo.
The quilt was quilted on a longarm machine by my friend Rebecca Weaver, Quilted Cottage, Pittsburgh.
